Ruggedwear is a proudly South African clothing brand that strives to produce high-quality, comfortable safari clothing. They are partnered with FGASA (Field Guides Association of South Africa) and many nature enthusiasts love their brand, including the likes of Kevin Richardson, James Steyn and Lauren Arthur, among many others.

I’ve recently been privileged to get my hands on some Ruggedwear outfits, and I can say with absolute certainty that they live up to their reputation. The fabrics are extremely soft and comfortable. They have a great palette of safari-esque colours, all of which match surprisingly well with each other, meaning you can mix and match your outfits. On top of that, their team was extremely helpful and friendly. Their delivery times are fantastic and I received my products within a few days of ordering them.

All of the clothing items that I procured are remarkably practical. Their cargo pants have plenty of generously-sized pockets and a string on the inside allows for quick adjustment of the width around the waist. Their long-sleeve Flycatcher blouse can be turned into a short-sleeve blouse by simply rolling it up and buttoning it in place. For summer, I cannot wait to wear my Marlin short sleeve blouse in the stunning stone colour, which I will pair with my Kestrel ladies shorts in olive. For cooler mornings, my favourite go-to item is the incredibly stylish Karula Parka Jacket.

The Ruggedwear summer attire is light and cool, with endless wardrobe choices for ladies – from lightweight sleeveless blouses to sparrow skirts. For men, there is a range of short and long sleeve shirts, as well as shorts, trousers and jeans. If you’re travelling to a cooler climate, look no further than the Ruggedwear winter attire, which is warm, luxuriously soft and well-insulated. Their catalogue has countless other products, such as belts, hats, beanies, ponchos, shoes and jackets, available in all sizes and are almost all unisex.

All in all, Ruggedwear has exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely recommend their brand to any nature lovers out there. I can’t wait to wear it on my next trip to the bush, or even look fashionably chic at home!
