Following two postponements due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Kigali/Rwanda finally hosted the event which took place from 20-25 June 2022. Commonwealth leaders travelled to Rwanda to reaffirm their common values and agree on actions and policies to change the lives of all their citizens.

Notably, all Commonwealth member states respect each other’s cultural values and recognize the Queen of England as head of the commonwealth. Members meet every two years at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), to discuss how they can transform the lives of their citizens and react to existing challenges.

Rwanda became the second country to host this diplomatic event after Uganda in 2007 and it was a success. We booked Kigalis most recommended hotels for some of the participants in this colorful event.
