THE CHOBE RIVERFRONT

Chobe Game Lodge

The five-star Chobe Game Lodge is the perfect base for exploring the National Park and the Chobe River. Home to the largest population of elephants in the world, expertly trained guides are on-hand to navigate guests through the incredibly diverse National Park including the recipient of the 2021 National Geographic Traveller Reader ‘Innovator’ Award, Florence Kagiso. Awarded full eco-grading by Botswana Tourism Organisation, each of the 44 river-facing rooms features a private terrace where guests can take in the picturesque views from the comfort of a lounger. With a choice of water and land-based wildlife activities, including 4×4 game drives using electric vehicles and sunset cruises using solar-powered boats, guests can encounter wildlife up-close whilst on an unforgettable adventure.

Chobe Savanna Lodge

Just across the border into Namibia’s Zambezi Province, Chobe Savanna Lodge guarantees a secluded safari experience. Overlooking the vast floodplains of the Chobe National Park’s Puku Flats, the heart of the camp is a thatched, open-sided lodge with 270-degree views over the Chobe River. Guests sleep in 12 beautifully furnished thatched chalets, each with a private deck for spotting elephants, buffalos, hippos, and rare pukus (antelopes). Water-based activities include fishing and game-viewing on the river.

Savute Safari Lodge

Savute Safari Lodge is located in the incredible Savute Region with its ever-changing channels and marsh. Offering 11 thatched chalets made from local timber and one, two double-bedroom family suite, the lodge ensures a private and relaxing environment. Open top safari vehicles allow guests to witness the world’s second-largest zebra migration – a truly spectacular summer sight. With a shaded viewing deck, alfresco dining area, and swimming pool, Savute Safari Lodge is ideal for watching the resident elephants as they drink, bathe, and play whilst guests relax in the luxurious lodge.

OKAVANGO DELTA

Xugana Island Lodge

Xugana Lagoon is widely recognised as the most spectacular permanent water site in the entire Okavango Delta, Africa’s largest and most awe-inspiring oasis. Xugana Island Lodge features eight rustic reed and thatch chalets on an island setting offering guests an authentic Okavango safari experience. Activities include exploring the crystal-clear waterways by mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) or motorboat spotting magnificent varieties of bird, plant, and reptile species found in the area. Day and night game drives are also available.

Camp Okavango

Now a World Heritage Site, Botswana’s magnificent Okavango Delta is the world’s largest inland delta, a vast area of flooded grasslands that seasonally attracts large numbers of wildlife. In the heart of this pristine wetland and diverse ecosystem, on the remote Nxaragha Island, Camp Okavango is a unique and exclusive water-based camp with eleven spacious suites and one two-bedroom family suite. Water and land-based activities include exploring by modern motorboat or in the traditional mokoro (dugout canoe) and guided bush walks on nearby islands. Spot rare species such as the sitatunga antelope as well as elephants, giraffes, and buffalos.

Nxamaseri Island Lodge

Located in the centre of two UNESCO world heritage sites: Tsodilo Hills and the Okavango Delta, Nxamaseri Island Lodge has eight stunning suites, all under the shade of huge Jackalberry trees and wild date palms with breath-taking river views. Nxamaseri Island Lodge is the perfect destination to explore Tsodilo Hills – a remarkable cluster of rocky hills in the flat Kalahari Desert and home to one of Africa’s most impressive collections of ancient rock art with over 4.500 paintings in over 400 different sites dating back as far as 100,000 years. The Nxamaseri Island Lodge wonderfully showcases the beauty of the permanent swamp in which it is located whilst subtly expressing and celebrating the rich heritage and vibrance of the indigenous people.

MOREMI GAME RESERVE

Camp Xakanaxa

On the banks of the Khwai River in the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve, Camp Xakanaxa is one of the very few safari camps that offers guests an authentic tented camp experience, along with year-round Okavango Delta land and water safari encounters. Situated around the fringe of the lagoon, eleven spacious Meru-style luxury safari tents and a one two-bedroom family tent have private viewing decks. The camp is one of few offering a year-round land and water game-viewing experience in open 4×4 vehicles or powerboats. The diverse habitat ensures sightings of elephants, buffalos, hyenas, giraffes, hippos, wildebeests, kudus and lechwes (antelopes), lions, and leopards with spectacular birding.

Camp Moremi

In the renowned Moremi Game Reserve, Camp Moremi delivers the classic African safari experience. Rebuilt in 2018 as a modern luxury safari lodge, 12 thatched tents include one two-bedroom family suite. Guests can choose morning or afternoon game drives throughout the different ecosystems. This blend of activities allows for access to incredible landscapes, impressive wildlife as well as the opportunity to enjoy the picturesque waters of the Okavango Delta spotting leopards, elephants, or lions. Moremi Game Reserve’s incredible wetlands support a vast number of antelopes, including impalas, kudus, and waterbucks.

MAKGADIKGADI PANS NATIONAL PARK

Leroo La Tau

Leroo La Tau translates as ‘lion’s paw’ and is set high above the western bank of the Boteti River, with striking views of the river and the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. The lodge features twelve luxurious thatched and glass-fronted suites with en-suite bathrooms, each raised on a wooden platform. Guided game drives in the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park focus on the exceptional wildlife sightings along the Boteti River. Depending on the water level, boat activities are also provided. As its name suggests, lions, zebras, and wildebeests can be seen as well as Chobe bushbucks, leopards, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, impalas, jackals, and porcupines.
