Bentley Continental GT crowned ‘Best Cars’ 2022 by Auto Motor und Sport readers

Bentley Motors is proud to announce its first-ever ‘Best Cars’ award from the highly-regarded automotive magazine Auto Motor und Sport. The Bentley Continental GT, definite, luxury grand tourer, has been elected by over 100,000 readers in the luxury class import category for this 46th edition of the ‘Best Cars’ awards from Auto Motor und Sport.

The latest, third generation Bentley Continental GT remains the pinnacle luxury coupe in the world, blending spirited performance with the latest in cutting-edge technology. Designed, engineered and handcrafted in Britain, this definitive coupe offers customers a unique breadth of Grand Touring ability.

The Bentley Continental GT is offered in two different powertrains and six different derivatives across the European markets. Effortlessly elegant, the sculpted bodywork and hand-finished paintwork combine to create one of the world’s most breath-taking luxury cars.

Inside a handcrafted cabin, the Continental GT seamlessly integrates natural materials, with rare yet sustainably-sourced veneers. The cockpit includes an advanced, driver-focused instrument panel, plus the option of the unique three-sided Bentley Rotating Display.

Collecting the ‘Best Cars’ award on behalf of Bentley Motors, Dr. Matthias Rabe, Board member Engineering commented:

“We are delighted that the Continental GT came out on top in the luxury import class category. The GT has been a segment defining product since its launch, and this accolade is the further proof of its appeal as the ultimate Grand Tourer as well being great recognition for all the work done by the team back in Crewe.”

Balazs Roos, Regional Director – Europe, comments:

“We would like to thank Auto Motor und Sport and their readers for this prestigious award as is an absolute honour to see our Bentley Continental GT so well-received. Another milestone added onto our ;luxury brand success, and despite a success is not measured on sales volume alone, alongside the strong performance announced few weeks ago and our double-digit growth, Bentley Motors Europe is in a strong position for another exciting year ahead.”

Bentley Motors just announced a new record year with total sales of 14,659 in 2021, an increase of 31 per cent over the previous year. Europe made a strong contribution with the delivery of 2,520 cars, against a figure of 2,193 in 2020, a 15 per cent increase driven by evenly split sales across model lines.
