The new Koenigsegg Gemera

The world’s first Mega-GT and Koenigsegg’s first four-seater.

“The Koenigsegg Gemera has made its world debut. it is the first Mega-GT and Koenigsegg’s first four-seater in the world. The Gemera is limited to an edition of 300 cars. It is an extreme mega car where a spacious interior meets ultimate environmental awareness. We call it a Mega-GT.”

Ultimate performance

Since the company’s inception over 25 years ago, Koenigsegg has been driven to create the ultimate performance car.
This new Mega-GT comfortably seats four large adults with room for their hand luggage, allowing the Koenigsegg mega-car experience to be shared with family and friends. Despite being a four-seater, the Gemera easily outperforms most two-seater megacars, both fuel and electric. Yet the Gemera’s focus is on long-distance public roads – family trips, in comfort, style and safety with never-before-seen performance.

With its 1.27 megawatts of power and 3,500 Nm of torque, the Gemera goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.9 seconds and to 400 km/h in record time.

The Gemera comes with an evocative and profound growl from its large displacement 3-cylinder engine.

Creature comfort

The first in a new segment, the Gemera Mega-GT is set to impress with its everyday usability and creature comforts. How about 4 hot and cold cup holders, central infotainment screens front and rear, wireless phone chargers front and rear, Apple CarPlay, internet and Wi-Fi on board, 11 state of the art sound systems with speakers, exterior and interior cameras, 4 reading lights, heated seats with memory foam, electric front seats, 3 climate zones, Autoskin plus much more.

The small friendly giant

The Gemera delivers a combined output of 1700 hp or 1.27MW. The three electric motors – one for each rear wheel and one on the engine crankshaft – have a combined output of 800 KW or 1100 hp, or 1400 hp when counted separately. On top of this comes 600 hp and 600 Nm from the 2-litre 3-cylinder dry-sumped twin-turbo Freevalve engine, which is called the Tiny Friendly Giant (or TFG for short).

The TFG is a progressive take on the powertrains of tomorrow. The TFG offers a lighter, more efficient cradle-to-grave solution compared to any internal combustion engine before it.

The Gemera, when plugged in and filled with second generation (gen 2.0) ethanol or CO2-neutral methanol such as Vulcanol or a blend thereof, becomes at least as CO2-neutral as a pure electric car running on a “good” electric source. Until these second-generation renewable fuel sources become more accessible, the Gemera can also be run on E85 and, in the worst case, regular petrol.

Equipped with three electric motors, the Gemera can drive up to 300 km/h in complete silence, and the powerful 800V battery gives a range of up to 50 km in EV mode.

Four-wheel steering and torque control

The 3000 mm wheelbase gives unprecedented comfort and straightforward stability. The rear-wheel steering ensures that the Gemera turns with agility and can achieve a turning radius only seen in smaller cars. At high speeds, rear-wheel steering also provides better directional control. The mix of all-wheel steering and four-wheel torque control provides limitless tunability and adaptability of steering and ride feel, making the Gemera one of the most fun and safe cars in the world.

Safety in focus

The Gemera is one of the safest megacars around and has been designed for global homologation. The Gemera has a high-strength carbon-fibre monocoque, six smart airbags, stability control, TC, ABS and an ADAS 2.5 assistant system. It lacks nothing in ultimate safety. All-wheel steering, all-wheel drive and four-wheel vectoring give the Gemera maximum capability to provide a safe, stable and exhilarating drive. ISOFIX is available for both rear seats.

100% four-seater, 100% Koenigsegg

The Gemera is the first of its kind in an entirely new vehicle category. Yet it has clear links to all previous Koenigsegg cars and their Swedish understated design roots.

The Gemera retains recognisable Koenigsegg features, such as the jet-inspired windscreen, hidden A-pillars, simple shapes, short overhangs and large side air intakes.

The front end design is inspired by the very first Koenigsegg prototype – the 1996 Koenigsegg CC

The Gemera features gigantic full-length Koenigsegg Automated Twisted Synchrohelix Actuation Doors (KATSAD) that open wide. The doors open to reveal an impressive four-seater that is as easy to access as it is comfortable and respectful of its front and rear passengers.

Limited edition

The Gemera is limited to an edition of 300 cars.
